Total Combat 26 kicked off last night at the 4th and B in downtown San Diego last night. The whole card was fast paced as no fight went the distance.

Opening the night Waylon Kennel shot in and scored with and early takedown over Jermain Wilson. Kennel landed many vicious short elbows before transitioning to a deep armbar for the victory.

Joshric Fenwick again showed some explosive takedowns and great wrestling ability against Hildred Oliney. The fight went back and forth on the ground with escape after escape from bad positions by both fighters. In the end Fenwick's excellent top control lead him into the north south position where he quickly sunk in a coke to finish the fight.

Ryan Gillespie wasted no time in his pro debut against Joe Shapiro, also making his debut, and quickly took the fight to the ground and earned a fast ground and pound victory.

Mike Delatorre and Jason Meaders came out with all guns blazing. After a short flurry of back and forth strikes the fight hit the mat where Meaders was forced to tap from a broken rib.

Gary Padilla survived a point deduction for an illegal strike against a downed Mike Moreno. Both fighter spent much of the first round battling for position and showed excellent reversals. In round two Padilla was stuck in a bad position but quickly transitioned to a heel hook that ended the the contest.

Tony Velarde made quick work of Courtney Thomas and the heavyweights quickly met in the center of the ring and wasted no time with the exchanges. Velarde caught Thomas wi9th a shot that sent him reeling into the corner where he finished the fight with a vicious right hook that put his opponent down.

In the main event of the evening Toby Imada successfully defended his Total Combat Lightweight Chapionship vs Preston Scharf of The Pit. Imada and Scharf went back and forth for the first part of the fight then when he gained the upper hand he quickly ended the fight with a flurry of punches.
