MMAWeekly reported today that Rashad Evans
has stepped up and accepted a fight with Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell for UFC 84 in May.
Unfortunately for Evans his fighting style fits exactly the type of fighter Liddell likes to fight. Rashad does not have a strong standup game or submissions and is primarily known for his wrestling. Undoubtedly This fight will end the way most fights during Chuck's reign as Champion; 1st round KO.
Rashad doesn't have the striking ability to set up
his takedown efficiently, and unless he starts
doing some serious gameplanning and training on some leg kicks with his buddy Keith Jardine, he is going to be in for a short night. Liddell loves a one dimensional fighter who will look to come straight forward and run right into a looping right hand.
Good match up for Liddell who needs one more win for a title shot ,after defeating Wanderlei Silva, and bad match up for Rashad.
