MMAJunkie had a busy day today posting an interview with Shayna Baszler, announcing the UFC signing of brothers Dan Miller ( current IFL MW Champ) and Jim Miller. The signing of Dan Miller , a current title holder, will certainly add more traction to the news that the UFC has purchased the almost defunct IFL.

Also of note is the announcement of Keith Jardine fighting Brandon Vera at the upcoming UFC 89. This is certainly a more solid competitor at 205 lbs for Vera and would also provide Jardine with a quality opponent to bounce back against after his loss to Wanderlei Silva.

The crew at Bloody Elbow dug up this gem of a picture from
Sherdog of the stunning physical specimen that is Fedor, which should put to rest any claims that you have to look like a fighter to be a fighter. They also posted a link to their flickr gallery with some great pictures taken by their staff at the Affliction: Banned show.


There hasn't really been much else available as news goes for today. Unless we start just making things up as our buddies over at Fightlinker have been known to do.
